The service does not collect, store, or process any sensitive personal data or special category information as defined under applicable Indian data protection laws. This includes, but is not limited to, biometric identifiers (such as fingerprints, facial recognition data, or voice patterns), health-related information, caste or community details, religious or political beliefs, sexual orientation.

We respect your privacy and are committed to collecting only the minimum personal information necessary to provide and improve our services. Financial data is collected only to the extent required for processing payments securely through authorized third-party payment gateways, and such information is handled in accordance with applicable data protection and payment security standards.

Any personal information collected is limited to what is necessary for user registration, communication, and providing app functionality, such as name, email address, phone number, and location/address & ID Proof.

7. Children and Minors

Our services, such as hovee Rent, are not intended for use by children or individuals under the legal age of 18 in India. We do not knowingly collect or process personal data from anyone under 18. If we decide to allow use by minors under parental guidance in the future, parental consent will be obtained, and any inadvertently collected data will be promptly deleted.

13. Cross-Border Data Transfers

All personal data collected, processed, and stored by us ismaintained on servers located within India.
We currently do not transfer or store any personal data outside the territory of India.
If, in the future, cross-border data transfers become necessary to support our operations or service delivery, such transfers will be carried out in full compliance with theDigital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023,and any applicable rules or government notifications, ensuring that your personal data continues to receive an equivalent level of protection.

14. Sub-Processors and Cloud Infrastructure

We engage trusted cloud service providers for hosting, backups, and monitoring.
All sub-processors are evaluated for compliance and bound by confidentiality agreements consistent with the DPDPA 2023 and IT Rules, 2011

15. Data Retention and Deletion

Data of active users will be retained for the duration of their use of the services. For inactive users, data will be retained for a period of three (3) months following the date of inactivity. Not with standing the foregoing, data may be archived and retained for up to six (6) months where required for legal, tax, regulatory, or audit purposes, or for the resolution of disputes. Upon expiry of the applicable retention period, all data will be securely deleted or destroyed using industry-standard methods to ensure it cannot be recovered or reconstructed.

If any further extension requirement will be communicated to the customer via available means of Tenancy Requests, queries, Tenancy enrolment mutual ratings have no responding time limit and all above is subject to user active subscription

The data collected through these APIs is limited to technical and usage-related information and is used solely for service improvement and optimization purposes.

A cookie banner and consent management mechanism will be implemented in future updates to ensure transparency and compliance with applicable data protection laws.

19. Cookies and Tracking

In using the Website, you acknowledge the inherent security risks associated with transmitting data over the internet. Your use of the Website is therefore at your own discretion and risk. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any unauthorized access, disclosure, or loss of information resulting from errors in transmission, security incidents caused by third parties, or circumstances beyond the Company's reasonable control.

23. Dispute Resolution, Arbitration, and Jurisdiction

In the event of any dispute, difference, or claim arising out of or relating to this Policy or the use of the platform, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the matter amicably through mutual discussions

If the dispute remains unresolved within thirty (30) days, any civil or commercial dispute arising under this Policy shall be referred to and finally settled by arbitration in accordance with the provisions of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, as amended from time to time. The arbitration shall be conducted by a sole arbitrator, mutually appointed by the parties. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be Chennai and the proceedings shall be conducted in the English language. The arbitral award shall be final and binding on both parties.

Not with standing the foregoing, any dispute involving criminal offences, data breaches amounting to statutory violations, or matters requiring intervention of governmental or regulatory authorities (including but not limited to the Data Protection Board of India, CERT-In, or law enforcement agencies) shall not be subject to arbitration and shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts and authorities in Chennai, India.

Each party shall bear its own costs of arbitration, and the arbitrator’s fees shall be shared equally unless otherwise determined in the award.

We reserve the right to change this policy at any given time.
